I love my iGoogle.
It gives me gems like this...

small manageable tasks, and then

life.
"The heights by great men reached and
kept, were not attained by sudden
flight, but they, while their companions
slept, were toiling upward in the night."
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I feel like im always toiling upward in the night. maybe i will become a great man someday...or woman.
Today has been long.
I got up at 5 am.
worked 6-10am.
had class, meetings etc 10-2pm.
worked again from 2-6pm.
i still have FHE at 7:00pm, im trying to be more involved so i should go...
Kitchen cleaning party at 8:00pm with the roommates because it wasn't clean when we moved in.
then...homework? email? I know I have 2 loads of laundry I have to fold...
oh yeah, sleep might be nice.
life is crazy right now but today despite the longness of it hasn't been bad.
I saw Rachel girl, my old roommate. she told me i was a lovely flower for missing her. i love her. she is a hippie.
I saw a friend of mine Sara, i haven't seen her since april! It was a lovely run in. she's great.
I saw a guy that I know from a show today, Patrick. He always has a smile on his face.
I talked to a friend, Heather by surprise at the scheduling office, it made me smile! I've missed her.
I had a few good talks with people at work.
Kaitlin and I chatted today. She is the best.
I got 6 tickets for my family and friends for my show that starts TOMORROW NIGHT!
Went to a meeting, picked up a script, wrote a resume and cover letter, turned it in on time, got some good feedback from my rocking group, emailed all the people i needed to. returned the gaff tape, went back and picked the gaff tape back up.
I managed not to get caught in the rain, but enjoyed the wonderfulness of it.
The wind came out to say hello too, i love the wind.
Funny Funny STORY!!!
ate a salad for lunch outside. met 2 new people. one girl i sat next to was hilarious. i asked her what she was studying and she said in a whisper, "actually that sitting on the next bench". I was like what? and she said she had to observe him for 10 mins and write a paper about him for a class. she just picked a random person to observe. it made my whole day. it was hilarious. i think my eyes got big and i asked her if i should move...she was nice. it made me wonder how many people have written a story about me? or YOU? huh. then i thought, i want to blog about this....when?
then another girl sat next to me. she is from mexico city. her mom is mormon but will always be catholic at heart. its kinda funny the things you learn about people in a few minutes time. i could probably write a whole paragraph about her but i wont.
ive done a bunch of my homework already too.
im like a machine today. that is a blessing because really i think im going mental.
start your day with a prayer is all i have to say. the Lord really is on your side.

From Bad to Good....MOOD.
I am in the WORST mood right now. I am not going to go into why I'm in a bad mood or what happened to put me in that bad mood, just know that they are pretty good reasons. I thought about writing this horrible blog post about my bad day and my bad mood...but something said that I should just count my blessings instead. So, here it goes.
I am grateful for:
*My job. I work at BYU INFO, I've been here since 2004. I really love it here. I love the people that I work with. They are my friends almost like family, well some of them anyway I don't really know the new ones yet.
*For my friend Kaitlin for helping me out today and for talking to me and for patting my back when I cried even though it was sweaty from this horrible day.
*For Becca, who was willing to walk home so she could pick me up so I could get my keys from the underbelly of the Nelke theatre so I wouldn't have to walk.
*For my best friend, Sass, who's birthday is today. She drove to see ME. All I did was buy her a doughnut, let her watch me put my contacts in, do my makeup and my hair and gave her a cd of pictures I've been promising her for the past 3 years, and it wasn't labeled and didn't come in a case and might not even work. She through ME a birthday party a few weeks ago. You can see who is the better friend. I am really grateful for her listening ear and patience and unconditional love. She knows just what I am going through right now. She is the BEST.
*My sister Amber. She is my truest best example of Christ like love. She is someone that I look up, and have my whole life. She is a superwoman, mom of three kids, part-time photographer and living in Kansas. She watches out for me and gives me advice. I love her and would be sad to not have her in my life.
*My sister Autumn. She has been a ball of sunshine in my life lately. I love her laugh, we get in sync sometimes and its crazy. People say we look alike, and that's a compliment because I think she is beautiful. She is going through a hard time right now but she is coming through it like a CHAMP!
*I love Margo. She likes to kick my face. It makes me smile. That might sound weird, but she is still in the womb. She dances when I sing to her or when we go to a movie. (just a note, I'm not the one that is pregnant...)
*For my MOM. She is just so amazing I will never be able to express how much I love her and am grateful for her. She is the most supportive person I know, and when I graduate college in a year, it will be because of my mom.
*My Dad. He is great. He takes care of me and my family. He gives me good advice and I know that he loves me. I don't know a greater man than my dad.
*Adam. He was the first boy...in my family. He has been a great kid lately. I have enjoyed the time we have spent together lately. We went camping together the other night. It was his idea. Just the 2 of us. I learned how to pee in the middle of nowhere, but thats another story for another time. He has always been very sensitive to what his family has been feeling. This is a good quality and I have been blessed by it time and again.
*Kayt, Jaylee and Lincoln: these little munchkins make me smile all of the time. I don't know what it is...they just keep me going and going and going. I think it is the crazy things they do. Kayt called me the other day to tell me she cut off her eyelashes because they were getting too long. oh geez!
*Jim. He is a great husband and father to my sister and their kids. He keeps it real.
*The Crest gas station across the street from where I live. I have recently discovered their drive through drink window. um....this might be a problem because they have the BEST syrup in their sodas in the world!
*Cam. She is one of my best friends and I am grateful for her. I've been thinking about her today and how much I miss her and wish I could see more of her. She is the funnest person to be around. She is constantly inspiring me.
*Jess. I just love her laugh and how much fun we have together. I appreciate her perspective on things. I'm lucky to have her as a friend.
*Kellie. She has such charisma. You can't help but feel better when she comes in a room. She is just so genuine and kind.
*Kelsey. She brought me back a happy hippo from italy or rome or something...for my birthday and I ate it today and it made me happy.
*Em-dog for being so reliable. She is awesome and she fills up my water bottle.
*Richard SC IV. Because I am the only woman in his life and his laugh is so loud and infectious.
*Katie. My new roommate. She listens to me freak out about everything and laughs at me, which is refreshing.
*Toilet paper, because really, who can function without it?
*Crystal. She is an example of a strong woman to me. I am grateful for her outlook on life. I am grateful that I know her and that we are friends and even though she is across the country I still feel like we are close.
*Trees. I love them. I love the green ness of them and they way the wind sounds in them.
*My new room. It is awesome and never would have come together without family and friends.
*Tucker. He is my dog.
*Prophets. I've been reading the Conference issue of the Ensign between classes and it has made all of the difference in the world!
*The scriptures. The peace that they bring to me are priceless.
*Can you bullet point this one? The Atonement. I am so grateful for this gift from the Savior. I have learned more about it recently and I feel so blessed.
*Prayer. What an amazing gift our Father has given us! The opportunity to commune with Him is such a blessing. It is a miracle.
*The Temple. I have really loved going to the temple. Especially recently. I love to be there and to feel the spirit of peace and love. It has such a renewing effect on my life.
*Pens. I just got the most amazing pen. It is a G2 thick point blue pen. LOVE IT. It makes writing so much fun.
*My car. It gets me places and makes life easier.
*Peppermint anything. I love the taste of peppermint.
*My ceiling fan and smaller fan. Can't sleep without them.
*New glasses/contacts. I can see leaves on the trees again!
*Movies. I. JUST. LOVE. MOVIES. can't get enough
*My amazing cast that I am working with right now and the whole production staff. They are patient with me and kind and teach me all kinds of things. The are such a joy to work with.
*Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, Kleenex and hand sanitizer. Really? I use these things everyday. Can't live without these too!
*My mission! Western New York.
Wow. I feel like I could go on forever and I really feel a lot better. It is true what the hymn says. Count your Blessing name them one by one and you will see what the Lord has done. It is amazing what focusing on the positive can do for my mood. I do feel more optimistic and calm, I'm ready to tackle the world! ok, probably not the world but maybe statistic...

And I could walk 5,000 miles!
"A journey of a thousand miles must
begin with a single step."
- Chinese Proverb

I love this website...
i work on the phones...it gets kind of slow sometimes and well, i've gotten pretty good at multitasking and a coworker (thanks Kelldog!) of mine showed me this website. http://www.postcardsfromyomomma.com/ HILARIOUS!! its a website about postcards and texts and emails from people's moms and really, you think kids say the darndest things? these moms are giving them a run for their money! just a disclaimer, there are a few um...edgier posts but here is one the i got a kick out of.
"That Would Scare Off the Perverts and Stray Cats.
Me: I was looking at the Missouri sex offender list this morning. There are 534 registered sex offenders within 5 miles of my new apartment… eek!
Mom: I’m getting you some mace on my lunch break today. I found some in the gun shop. I will mail to you immediately!
Mom: Would you rather I just get you a gun? That would scare off the homeless, the perverts, and the stray cats."

New York, New York!
This is Kayt
This is Kayt. She is really great! Can't you tell? I really, really love this little thing. She cracks me up! I spoke with her on the phone today and she said she was a boy and lowered her voice and told me her name was Smelly. AHAHAHA!! She is my oldest niece. I was in London when she was born. These pictures were taken on their last visit to Utah in July. She is a hoot!
I love this girl too! This is my sister Autumn and she and Kayt are great friends. They are both pretty funny...
She's already a poser.

I can do hard things...
This is one of my very best friends, Cam. I LOVE her! We met at the MTC in April of 2006. We talked the whole way on the plane to our mission and became instant friends. Funny thing is that we had some of the same companions and served in the same areas but we never were companions or roommates! She has helped me through a lot over the years and this picture was taken right after I did a very hard thing. I know I couldn't have done it without her! She reminded me of the saying, "I can do hard things". It really pumped me up and reminded me that we used to say that all the time on our mission. I am sure that you will all hear lots more about this beautiful friend of mine, she is the one I am doing the blog wars with. Cam you are a pal!

Blog Wars!!!
This post is for my good friend Cam. We are going to start a little war. A blog war. We are going to post something each week to brighten, uplift or inform each other. I actually stole this post from one of my best friends from High School, Lizzie if you read this I hope you don't mind. These are a few quotes from the comedian Dimitri Martin. Oddly enough some work friends introduced me to Dimitri via his CD the other week and now he is everywhere, good thing though because he is funny! Here are the quotes, I hope they brighten your day!
"'Sort of' is such a harmless thing to say. Sort of. It's just a filler. Sort of - it doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, sort of means everything. Like after 'I love you' or 'You're going to live' or 'It's a boy.'"
"I was making pancakes the other day and a fly flew into the kitchen. And that's when I realized that a spatula is a lot like a fly swatter. And a crushed fly is a lot like a blueberry. And a roommate is a lot like a fly eater."
I can't wait to see what you come up with Cam!

Funny Family Stories.
I LoVe my FaMiLy! LOVE THEM! They really are great. They are there for me when times are good and bad. There really isn't anything better than family. I have a few funny stories to share about them.
My mom is out of town at Girls Camp. When she leaves town everything falls apart at home. Its as if no one knows how to DO anything. My sister Autumn can take care of herself and helps the helpless, namely the males in the family. They don't know how to function. Especially Tucker. He is my dog. He goes into morning when she leaves. In fact, I think he's lost a few pounds, which is a big deal considering he weighs all of 17 lbs. He walks around like he's lost his best friend. He has for the week anyway. He has no one to shadow like he does my mom. You gotta love that little ball of fur though. Anyway, my sister autumn and my mom and I spent the week prior to her leaving making card kits for the girls to do for their craft. This consisted of 200 kits of 10 different types of cards and none of the colors could be the same! It was quite the task, but we had a blast doing it! It was really fun to do things together and we busted them out in a few nights! My mom is so creative. Probably the most creative person I know, its no wonder my sisters have creative juices coming out of their fingers, they have my mom. So we made 200 cards and then my mom announced that we had to make scrabble piece necklaces as well.....ha! I didn't really help with that one because I had to work but they turned out great! I hope my mom had a fun time at camp, (she's not really the camping type. Her idea of camping is the Motel 6!) I can't wait for her to come home though!
While she's been gone I have been spending time with my little brother all week. He has been laid up due to a surgery on his leg. 2 years ago in August he broke his leg. His fibia and tibia and had to have a titanium rod put in his leg. So, last friday he had it removed. I have been his maid all week, and to tell the truth, it has been pretty fun. He is 17 years old. Typical boy. Like boy things and nothing girly which is going to make these stories even more funny. He sits on the couch and plays games on his laptop while I subject him to whatever TV I want to watch, and whatever food I can find. He pretends he isn't interested but he really is because I keep catching him watching the TV. So far to date we have watched a lot of I LOVE LUCY, because well, I love lucy! She's one of my favorites! He would laugh and laugh. We actually haven't watched too many cooking shows which is unusual for me because I LOVE the Food Network. I also love TCM, Turner Classic Movies. LOVE IT! So, one afternoon I went to TCM and it was "Howl's Moving Castle" it is an Anime movie. He protested it at first. HA! but, I got him! He LOVED it! He wouldn't admit it until the movie was over though....hehehe. When it ended I was like, 'I liked that!' and he was like, 'yeah, um....can we rent another one?' HA! it was so funny! So the next day I asked him which one he wanted me to go and rent and he looked it up and picked, "Princess Mononoke". So we watched it and it is violent! heads and arms and things were flying off everywhere. He said he felt pretty gay watching it when I was putting it on, but in the end it was pretty good. Then I was flipping through the channels a little later and came across "The Devil Wears Prada" so I turned that on. Adam wasn't too interested but watched it with me and then his friend Taylor came over and he sat down and watched it too. I was vacuuming the whole house during commercial breaks and then I had to go to work and I told them they could change it but Taylor was like, "No, I kinda like it" HAHAHAHA! I left two 17 year old boys watching "The Devil Wears Prada", it was priceless. The next day I turned on TCM again and "How to Steal a Million" was on, Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole, and I started cleaning the kitchen...Adam caught me up on the movie a little later. It was so much fun to spend some chillax time with my brother. I feel like Adam and I bonded, over Anime, Lucy, chick flicks and TCM movies. Huh, never thought that would happen.
A few funny Kayt-isms. Kaytlynn is my oldest niece, she just turned 4. She is my older sister Amber's daughter. She shared these funny stories with me. She prefaced this with, "Kayt apparently watches too much TV and now is getting too smart for her own good..."
Amber told Kayt to go and clean her room the other day and Kayt's response was, "Mom, don't just clean it, OXY clean it!" Bwahahahaha!
Ok, next do you know the Nation Wide Insurance commercials on TV? "Nationwide is on your side!" thats their jingle. Anyway, Kayt came and sat next to Amber and said, "My name's Kaytlynn Belle and I'm on your side!" Hahahahahaha!
Last story: Kayt got up to the dinner table and they were about to say a prayer and Amber said, "ok Kayt fold your arms we are going to pray" and Kayt was like, "Wait just a second" and blew a pink BEAD out of her nose! and then folded her arms like it was all no big deal. Maybe she was just saving it for later? HA! The things kids do!
My sister Autumn was helping me wax my legs last night. She was ripping and I was screaming! Adam was making fun of me for screaming. So, autumn and I went and attacked him with the wax and waxed part of his leg just to show him how bad it really hurts! He didn't even flinch. We forgot. He is on Lortab from his surgery. Nothings getting through that! Maybe I should borrow some so I can finish my legs?

Creating things...
A friend of mine asked me what I have been up to lately. I told them, surviving. Breathing in and out and eating something so I don't die. Sounds dramatic. Then they asked me, no really, what have you been doing? I thought for a minute and realized that I have been doing some things. I have been trying to be a creator of things. I want to plant a tree. I know I'm not 'creating' a tree but I do want to plant one. Any suggestions on what kind? I want to be able to climb it one day... I made a diaper/baby wipes holder for a baby shower the other day. My sister walked me through it over the phone while looking at her own version of it. It turned out a little bit small but overall it looked AWESOME! The fabric rocked,(thanks mom!) and the Velcro was in the right place! Can you believe it?! I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to have velcro match up! but, I DID IT! I also went to the store, wrapped the present in a bag with MATCHING tissue paper(any of you who really know me knows this is a feat because my idea of wrapping a present is throwing it in a pillow case!), got a salad together and hand washed all of the pans in my parents kitchen by hand in one hour. Yup I actually accomplished that. The shower was awesome too by the way, lots of mission friends and lots of laughs. I forgot what it was like to laugh that hard. Other creations include, cutting out the fabric and laying it all out for a quilt. I have had this fabric for 5 years now with great intentions of getting it done but to no avail. I haven't, until NOW! I am going to sew that baby up and get it machine quilted! I have also tried a few new recipes. The Pioneer Woman's Lemon Pasta and peanut butter pie. YUM! If you don't know who the pioneer woman is you are missing out! She rocks my socks! look her up! thepioneerwoman.com. I have many more plans for creations: I want to build a couch. You hear me right, a couch. Go ahead and laugh, most people do but it is going to happen! within my lifetime dadgummit. I want to write a children's book. I have quite a few ideas in my head jumping around they will be freed soon. I am going to make a purse out of a pillowcase, (Thank you Martha Stewart) and I am going to scrapbook LONDON and MY MISSION! Whew! Thats a lot of stuff but I am DETERMINED, to get half of it done.....! I have also been doing other things as well but that is for the next post. So while I have been trying to survive by breathing in and out, I guess I have been doing some worthwhile things and hatching some crazy good ideas.

This is EXCITING!
Hey! I have had quite the accomplishment. I changed my blog skin and font and colors, ALL BY MYSELF! Can you believe that?! I looked it up on the internet. I KNOW! I am just as shocked as you are! For those of you who don't know this, I am computer "slow" I think they conspire against me I swear they do! So, normally in order to do anything on the computer I have to be shown how to do it multiple times, but today I was just like, "I want to spice up my life and I'm going to start with my blog" So I went to a website I stole off of Kellie's blog and went from there! I feel very empowered! I feel like I am on the top of the world! Like I can DO anything! So, if you are feeling a little blah or have extra time that you are just a'wasting, I suggest you try something new! Learn something new. Just get out there and do something hard or whatever! YOU can do it too!
